The Inagural World GAA Games were held on the 6th/7th of March 2015 in Abu Dhabi.
Over 50 players from Singapore attended and along with players from Hong Kong, Seoul, KL and Shanghai, combined to make up the Asian representative teams.
Along with this some Ex SGLs tagged along to compete with the Social teams and to add their wealth of experience and devilment to the occasion.
Three womens teams and Two mens teams were entered from Asia. We did come away with silverware after the weekend with the womens social team winning their competition. All other 4 teams unfortunately lost their respective semi finals to what was very strong opposition mainly from the Middle East.
Overall it was an excellent weekend which the Singapore Gaelic Lions made a massive contribution to. Many thanks to all the people involved in the organisation of this event from the Singapore side and also the the guys that took the running of the teams over the weekend.
