The annual Bill Niko Tournament was held on May 25th – a great day out where we come together with Singapore Wombats to remember a player, teammate, and friend of both clubs. We play a few rounds of international rules and mix of the ball to keep it fair.
As Steffo put it, these games are always played in Bill’s spirit, ‘with plenty of roughness, toughness, and a good few beers after’.
The girls were up first, setting the tone with fast-paced, physical footy. Then the lads took the field, and it was all go from the throw-in. Pizza and cans on the sidelines, plenty of laughs, and a great crowd made it a proper day out.
